Why It's Time to Recognize Massage Therapy as a Legitimate and Valuable Profession

Updated: Dec 8, 2023

I believe that it's high time we recognized and appreciated the exceptional skills and talent that women bring to the massage therapy industry.

As someone who values their work, I understand that the skills required to provide massage therapy services have advanced significantly over the years, and the value of these services has increased accordingly.

I believe it's only reasonable that Massage Therapists charge rates that reflect the current value of their work.

It's disturbing to see some Massage Therapists taking on low-paying jobs, working 30+ hours a week, and delivering below-par services due to their stress and overwork. This practice is unsustainable and puts them at a higher risk of hand, arm, and shoulder injuries and can lead to poor energy in the work.

Massage Therapists must be remunerated fairly for their work to avoid such scenarios.

I feel it's time to acknowledge Massage Therapists’ value to the health and wellness industry and compensate them accordingly. Appreciating their skills, recognizing the risks they face, and ensuring they are paid fairly for their work are essential.

As a community, we must strive to promote and reward well-considered, deliberate efforts in massage therapy. This begins with recognizing and valuing the contributions of the skilled professionals who make up the backbone of this field. In doing so, we can create a sustainable and equitable system that supports and empowers all members of the massage therapy community.

I have invested in over 1000 hours of training with some of the best schools in the world and have been practicing Massage for the past 20 years. This extensive training and experience have given me an in-depth knowledge of the different massage techniques and methods I use to provide my clients with the most effective and personalized treatment. My ultimate goal is to ensure that each client leaves my massage table feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and satisfied. I believe that my massage is not just a physical experience but also an emotional and mental one. That's why I take a holistic approach to massage therapy, considering each client's individual needs. So, if you're looking for a massage that's not just a temporary fix but a long-lasting solution to your pain and discomfort, you can trust me to provide you with the best possible treatment.

I am grateful for the support of my clientele in recognizing the value of my work. My prices will be adjusted in the new year, 2024.
